Allied Professional Support Staff
It takes a community to raise a child
At Banyan Fields Primary School we do not work alone. Our Allied Health team work collaboratively with leadership, teaching and support staff to create a positive and happy environment to engage, inspire and encourage our students in their learning and support them to optimise their school experience. Our team comprises of Occupational Therapists, Speech Pathologists, Psychologists and our Chaplain.
All services are delivered in consultation with the Banyan Field’s Primary School Principal, Wellbeing Coordinator, Parents/Caregivers, and Teaching staff. These services can be accessed through the school and require parental/caregiver written informed consent. See below for more information.
The Chaplaincy service is confidential however there may be times when a referral to another service is made to gain more specialised support.
Our chaplain Ale works at Banyan Fields on Wednesday and Thursday. If you see Ale around the school please introduce yourself. Ale would like to warmly extend a welcome to anyone who can make it to the Old Multi-Purpose Hall on Friday morning @ 9am for a ‘Cuppa and Chat’, keep an eye out in the newsletter and Facebook page for details of guest speakers and topics.
If you would like to make a referral to the Chaplaincy service you can obtain a form from Amelia Busuttil. Classroom teachers may refer students, or even students themselves and a permission form will be sent home to be completed before sessions commence.
