Thank you for your interest in Banyan Fields Primary School. We look forward to welcoming your family into our school community. Due to current department restrictions schools are unable to hold tours at the moment.

We will be holding an online information session on Tuesday 12th October, 7:00-7.30pm.. Please use the form below to register your interest. Registrations close Monday 11th October at 12pm. If you have any specific questions you would like answered during the online session please include them in the form when registering.

Parent Information Session

Enrolment age

All children entering primary school must be five years of age by the 30th April of the starting year. Children who turn 5 after that date begin school the following year.
 
The enrolment application
To enrol your child in a Victorian government school you will need to fill out an enrolment form at that school and provide the school with important information about your child, including:
 
  • Evidence of your child’s date of birth (if they were not born in Australia, a passport or travel document such as a visa - An extract from the birth certificate or passport will be suitable. In the absence of either of these documents a Centrelink printout that specifies the child’s date of birth will be accepted.)
  • Your contact, phone and address details, and that of any other parent, guardian and/or carer
  • Names and contact details of emergency contacts
  • Immunisation Status Certificate
  • Health and welfare information
  • Information about the language/s your child speaks and hears at home
  • A separate application must be completed for each enrolling child.
Student Enrolment Enquiry
Our school zone is available on findmyschool.vic.gov.au. Findmyschool.vic.gov.au hosts the most up-to-date information about Victorian school zones for 2020 onwards. Students residing in this zone are guaranteed a place at our school, which is determined on the basis of your permanent residential address. The Department provides guidance through the School Placement Policy to ensure that students have access to their designated neighbourhood school and the freedom to choose other schools, subject to facility limitations. You can find more information and answers to frequently asked questions on the Department’s website under School zones.  ​All areas of the Interim Form below including your current address must be completed before the next step of the enrolment process begins.
